Varied cycling from canal paths, cities, forests, ferries, etc. But still very hot. Into Germany now.
Slightly shorter ride due to the locations of campsites. Mainly alongside canals. Got a bit dull on long straight cycle paths.

Another early start for a sensible distance ride, finishing Eurovelo 6 and heading along the River Rhein on Eurovelo 15.
No so many campsites on this bit so rather further than I wanted, particularly given the current heatwave. So early start.
Very early start to avoid the heat. Another good distance, good cycle paths, a few hills but as expected, very hot.
Better distance today. Departed early to avoid the heat and fantastic cycle paths, few hills, but still rather warm.

A bit shorter than I wanted but campsite locations (and facilities) constrains options available (for the next few days).
A bit longer than I wanted, into a headwind and some bad raid/path surfaces made today’s ride a bit of a slog and hard work.
Covered the entire hilly & no-campsites section plus a bit (as I started 10 miles back) but “avoided” the hills!
Horrible hilly first 10 miles, then completely flat beside canals. Met up with the cyclist I’d met in Nevers campsite.
